Hebrews 4:15,16 says, “15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Jesus, the Son of God, is our high priest. He was tempted just like we are. He got hungry, tired, lonely. Even though Jesus faced these things He never sinned. After He took our sins upon Himself at the cross and died for us and was buried and rose again, he passed into the heavens. There he intercedes for us. Therefore, we can come boldly to the throne of grace. At the throne of grace we can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Jesus knows what we need and He feels what we feel because He was on earth and experienced our afflictions and temptations. Now we can pray to the Father in His name. What a Friend we have in Jesus!
Tonight my prayer is a thank you that Jesus understands all things, that He is my Friend, that I can come to the Father in His name and plead for mercy at the throne of grace. Tonight I plead for God to look upon us and upon all the nations of the world and grant His mercy in stopping the virus that we might not perish. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayer.
