Hello, everyone! I wanted to start sharing on our blog some of the remedies that have really helped me. This one is for the ladies. It has really been a tremendous help to me, and I would like to share in case it will help someone else too. Since this subject is of a sensitive nature, I have put it in a little pdf that you can download by clicking on the button below.
Well, I am way, way, way behind. I still have the spring theme for the background on our site. :-)
This year has been really crazy in many ways -- lots of unexpected events and happenings. Health problems have taken a lot of time I would normally spend doing other things. But God is still good.
One of the special blessings God gave us was a mini vacation in August. This was kind of like a late birthday trip for me. God opened the door for us to be able to take a very short trip out to the coast to visit our Aunt and Uncle and to see the beach at Topsail island.
The Lord gave us good travels, although the AC didn't work right in the car, and I got overheated because the sun was shining in the window on my side of the car. We were excited when we got there.
We did not do much the first day. We were just too utterly weary. It was nice to sit and rest and not have to be concerned about doing anything and not have any deadlines to get anything done at a certain time.
Over the weekend, our Uncle took us to the turtle hospital. That was very fascinating.
The turtle pictured above is well now, but it is one they cannot release. They tried to release it once, but it came back. So, now they need to find it a home where it can happily live. It likes people and loves attention.
We also got to go down to the beach. That was a highlight of our stay. I brought home lots of shells and unique stones. Below are a few pictures.
Thank the Lord for the wonderful trip and the time of rest He gave us. And thank you to Uncle Tim and Aunt Ruthie who graciously hosted us for the weekend. It will be one of our happy memories.
Sour Sammy could not be good, no matter how he tried. One day his father had to discipline him for doing wrong, He asked his father why he could not be good, so his father got down the Bible and showed Sour Sammy how only Jesus could make him good.
"Soon it was known all over town
That Sour Sam had lost his frown --
Jesus had turned it upside down."
