Today's Change Journey verses are Ephesians 4:26,27, " 26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27Neither give place to the devil." The category I am studying is "Family Relationships," and the theme of this post is "Be Ye Angry and Sin Not."
Anger Without Sin
Exodus 11:8
Moses was angry with Pharaoh because Pharaoh would not listen to God's word and he hardened himself against God and against God's people.
Exodus 32:21,22
Moses was angry at Aaron for leading the Israelites into sin and bringing sin upon God's people.
Psalm 106:30
Phinehas was angry because the people had sinned against God.
Mark 3:5

Mark 10:14
Jesus was "angry" (much displeased) because little children were being forbidden to come unto him.
Anger Quickly Suppressed
"Let not the sun go down upon your wrath." (Ephesians 4:26b)
Even righteous anger should not be allowed to linger. If it is permitted to do so, it will fester and turn to hate, bitterness, and malice. When I become angry at sin, I must ask God to help me rule my spirit. "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city." (Proverbs 16:32)
Anger that is Sinful
Numbers 20:10-13
Moses and Aaron were angry with the people and became impatient with them. They let this anger result in a bad attitude toward God's people, disbelief in God, and disobedience to God's commands. (See verse 12 and Psalm 106:33)
Proverbs 14:29
Becoming angry quickly is a sin. It leads to foolishness. (See also Ecclesiastes 7:9)
Anger Controlled
"Neither give place to the devil." (Ephesians 4:27)
Psalm 37:8
Anger and wrath can cause one to do evil. Anger causes continued fretting over bad circumstances.
Proverbs 14:29
Being slow to wrath shows that a person has great understanding.
James 1:19
Listening carefully can help to prevent an angry response.
Romans 12:19-21
Repaying good for evil helps to control the desire for vengeance.
Ephesians 4:32
Forgiving others leads to a kind and tenderhearted attitude.
Ephesians 4:30,32
An angry spirit with unwillingness to forgive grieves the Holy Spirit of God and gives place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:32
Remembering that God forgave me for Christ's sake will help me control my anger and forgive others.

Another nutritious snack I enjoy is whipped cream and strawberries. After I whipped the cream up the other day, I took the beaters out and it looked like the cream had a funny face. :-)
