Changes in Life
This year has been full of changes. In March we moved from the country to the city. That has taken a lot to get used to. We still have plenty of animal life here though. There are lots of trees out back and lots of birds too. Also, there are some squirrels that like to play and eat pecans and even possums and raccoons.
Even though we moved in March, it has taken us months to get our trailer emptied and cleaned out. There is still a bit of work to do on it. We had a yard sale inside at the trailer a couple Saturdays ago but didn't make much money. We are hoping to move everything out to the shed so we can sweep the house and the new owners can clean before they move in. The plan is to have the next yard sale at a friend's house on the 13th of next month, maybe the 12th and 13th.
Also, this past week, Christy job ended; so she is in the process of searching for a new job.
Thoughts on Health
In some ways we have felt much better since moving into the new house. Getting away from the mold has helped a lot. Now there is a leak in this house, but the landlord is supposed to come look at it and fix it soon.
In other ways, we are still struggling physically. It seems like every few months I have to add more herbal supplements or food supplements to my regimen. This is getting to be a little overwhelming and costly. Last month I had some tests done that showed hormone imbalances were still there. My cortisol was also high. Christy is having some health issues too.
Yesterday we went and looked at blenders at WalMart. We need a new one anyway. There was one that is supposed to be heavy duty and be able to do anything from smoothies to almond butter. It is supposed to be able to grind nuts and grains. That is the one we will probably try. Then I plan to make some good, nutrient dense foods for both of us -- homemade fruit ice creams, vegetable or fruit "juice" smoothies, cookies and bars, and soups. If we can load in these healthy foods, maybe we can see some overall improvement and cut down on pills and powders and expensive supplements.
And speaking of smoothies, here is a picture of the yummy smoothie I had this morning -- papaya/mango/banana. Yumm!
