for they have been ever of old. Psalm 25:6
Well, many days have passed since the last entry. And I guess I never got around to putting in photos of the fly-in.
Today it is chilly, and they are calling for a bit of sleet and/or freezing rain. Temperatures are supposed to remain above freezing though, so it shouldn’t cause any serious damage.
In the beginning of December, Dad and Mom were out in a town where they could get access to email. It was so good to “talk” with them.
On the night of December 3rd, there was a beautiful moon with an orange-ish ring around it. The weather that day had been quite lovely, and in the evening the Lord said His moon to remind me of His nearness and His power over creation.
I looked out and there was a red truck and a white car with a Toyota symbol on the front. Sure enough, there were Jeremy and Stephen. And there was Christy’s car, back again after about 7 weeks off for repairs. Thank You, God.
On the 9th, it was very windy just as the weather prediction had been. However, it was sunny and pleasant. The wind buffeted us quite a bit as we drove to the chiropractor and to church.
The car ran OK. It runs very quietly. On the way to the chiropractor, the “check engine” light went on. We pulled into a local restaurant and called Jeremy. But he said that as long as it was not making loud knocking, clicking, or screeching noises it should be OK. A check of the engine that night revealed it was only a valve that needed adjustment.
Christy worked several hours on getting Dad and Mom’s newsletters ready to send out. She made macaroni and cheese for her supper, and I stewed tomatoes with mushrooms for mine.
The next couple of days were also eventful. My camera acted like it didn’t want to work. I did get a really nice picture of the sun on Thursday morning. Then both of our computers had problems. They had viruses and needed “cleaning up” and repair. But they seem to be fine now.
The Bibles I ordered came as well. Christy packed one Bible on CD in a box with other stuff for Dad and Mom. One Bible on DVD is for a friend, and one was for me. It is a blessing to have this to listen to. I can listen to it while I work around the house.
Well, that about sums things up for the month of December so far. I hope you are all having a wonderful month.
