On the 15th, my devotions were in Ephesians chapter 3. I had read it twice the day before and read it again on the morning of the 15th and began to write a poem based on it. The poem was finished over the next couple of days. I pray it will be a blessing to you all.
God's grace is given to me
This is a great mystery.
But through His word He made it known
How for the Gentiles He did atone
That by the Gospel they might be one
With Jewish believers through God the Son.
This is the gift of God's grace,
For ever, let's give Him our praise.
I am not worthy this grace,
For I should receive lowest place.
But through my life He wants to make known
The message that for sin He did atone
That man might have fellowship in His Son
Who made all things; He's the Blessed One.
This grace is for eternity,
Until our Father's face we shall see.
In Christ we have access to God
As through life's journey we trod.
We can come with confidence to His throne,
We never need to face trials alone.
We need not faint though the way be long,
Though trials great our path do throng.
We bow our knees and thank God
For this blessing we have through our Lord.
We are one family in God,
We bear the name of our Lord.
We're all one family in earth and heav'n
Our Saviour's name we have all been giv'n;
That He might bless us with glorious wealth
Our inner man with spiritual health
By faith Christ dwells in our heart;
From there He'll never depart.
The height and depth of Christ's love
It's length and breadth He doth prove.
It passeth knowledge that love of God,
Imparts the fulness of our Lord,
Through answered prayer and tenderness
As through His power He works in us.
All glory to Him through Jesus
Both now and through all ages.
"14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."
