Christy has had the opportunity to start a course in medical coding.
God has answered some prayers for Dad and Mom. The Lord has also shut the door on my going to Papua New Guinea for this year. That means that I will no longer be drawing support. However, the exciting thing is that now I will be working up to 20 hours a week on projects for Dad and Mom. It was my desire that, if I could not go to the mission field, I would be able to be involved in ministry here. The Lord has answered this prayer in an exciting way.
One of the projects I am working on is a hymn book in Melanesian Pidgin English. There are a couple of hymnbooks in Pidgin already, but none have the music with the songs as far as we know. Mom has translated 94 songs. It has been fun to find the scores for these and put them together. Many of the public domain scores are readily available on the internet. One site has 8,500 hymns on it. More detail can be found at our parents blog. A link to their blog is on the side bar below the verse in the pink box.
Here is a picture of "Jisas Paid It All" in Pidgin.
And here is a picture of Christy hard at work studying her Medical Coding lessons.
"Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness'sake, O LORD." (Psalm 25:6,7)
Another project we are working on is setting up an online store. We don't know how this will go but are praying for the Lord's direction and wisdom in this.
