Early Sunday morning we headed out to Havelock. The trip to Havelock went fine. We enjoyed fellowship at Freedom Baptist Church. It was a surprise to see our friend Naomi there. After church, we went out to Baker’s Kitchen with the pastor and their daughter and Naomi and some folks from church. The food was good, and we enjoyed more fellowship there. Food there was fresh made and was served in large portions. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was good, and the workers were pleasant. Our server was a nice young man. He did not seem to mind going up and down the stairs to wait on tables. He was excited though that we had a party of nine because then he could concentrate on one table.
As we were heading back to Sneads Ferry, we stopped to get a large jumping spider out of the car first. Otherwise, the trip back was uneventful.
In the afternoon, we went to our Uncle Tim and Aunt Ruth’s church (Providence Road Baptist Church) where Dad showed his presentation and then preached. The fellowship there was good too, and it was exciting to see two people baptized and to hear their salvation testimonies.
We praise the Lord for the wonderful day He gave us.
The night would hold more adventure, but that is a story for part 3.
