On Monday we went out to Shark Attack (a souvenier shop). I found a present for my secret sister, and Christy and I got t-shirts (Top Sail Island shirts). Christy bought mine as a birthday present for me. Before we went inside the store though, we took pictures outside with us standing in the shark's mouth.
In the afternoon, we went to visit some friends of Mom's that she had known in New York 50 years ago! They had two dogs, Foxy and Weenie, and two fishes.
Around 8:30 p.m., we (Christy and I) went out with Uncle Tim to look for ghost crabs. It was still 82 degrees out, feels like 92. But the wind was strong, so it wasn't too bad. It was a dark night, but we had head lamps and flash lights.
I forgot to take a bag with me, but I filled my pocket with shells and such. :-) We saw a few ghost crabs and some other type of crab. We spent about an hour there.
When we were done at the beach, I was sweaty, smelled like the ocean, and all sandy. But it was fun! I thanked God for that short time of enjoyment.
Gallery of crabs -- the first few are ghost crabs, and the others are another type of crab. I don't remember what they are called. I believe they are good for eating, although we just took their pictures.
