A couple of weeks ago, our church had a wonderful missions conference. It was so exciting. Christy and I were able to do a display to represent Mom and Dad. There were other displays too, for the other missionaries. The preaching was good and challenging, and there has been feedback by at least one person about how God has worked in his heart. Thank You, Father!
Also the past couple of weeks, our county had its annual fair. We entered a few things and earned a little bit of money, but not much. It was still fun though.
On Saturday the 4th, Christy and I went to the fair. We didn't play any games or ride any rides, but it was still fun. Maybe next year we can do a ride or two. One game/ride that looked really fun was a two-story maze of mirrors. If they have that next year, we may do that. There was a barn where we could see the horses, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, and other animals. We also looked at the chainsaw art, the bee barn, the exhibit halls, and watched the pig, duck, and goat racing. The ducks did the best with the racing. They seemed to enjoy everyone yelling and cheering for them. The last animals to race were the Vietnamese potbellied pigs. Those things can go fast!
We had a fun time, and our favorite thing to see was the exhibit hall. We enjoy looking at all the creative things people enter. After the fair we stopped at Dollar Tree and got some cotton candy. That is our once-a-year fair treat. Mmmmmm! The flavor we got was S'mores.
Below I have posted a few pictures of the fair. We are thankful for the good time we had and for all the Lord has done for us.
