Thank God for His goodness!
“11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. 12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. 13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.” (Psalm 65:11-13)
Last year our theme verses were “20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20,21) The main idea or goal was to allow the Lord to change me through 2014, trusting that “…He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
This year the theme verse is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The main idea or goal will be to search the Scripture and find the practical ways that the Lord shows that we can seek first His kingdom and to put these things into practice in my life.
One main goal and focus of the year will be Thankfulness, and thankfulness will be the first area of Bible study. Here are ideas I have found so far.
(If you want to join me in Seeking God’s Kingdom in 2015, I would love to have you go along with me. And, any thoughts and ideas you have would be welcome!)

He leads us on by paths we do not know;
Upward He leads us, though our steps be slow,
Though oft we faint and falter on the way,
Though storms and darkness oft obscure the day;
Yet when the clouds are gone,
We know He leads us on.
He leads us on through all the unquiet years;
Past all our dreamland hopes and doubts and fears,
He guides our steps through all the tangled maze
Of losses, sorrows, and o’er clouded days;
We know His will is done;
And still He leads us on.
