Spring has come, and we are having such a wonderful time. It was nice to get out and work in the garden yesterday. Got the dirt spread on with the hay and planted some peas yesterday. It is a little late to plant them, but they should do OK. We planted them even later last year, and they did fine. The hay part is experimental. We are trying it to see if it will keep the garden from drying out so quickly once the summer gets here.
Old tomato cages were placed deep into the ground for the pea vines to wind up on after they come up. The old tomato stakes were still in the ground too, so we stretched twine across them for the vines to travel on after they get tall. Then I prayed that the Lord would bless the little garden.
For several days, the Bradford pears continued to make "spring snow" on the ground. Now the neighbor's tree with the pretty pink flowers is beginning to bloom. Later it will get heart shaped leaves. Here are a couple more pictures of "spring snow."
Wednesday morning began with a beautiful sunrise, and the Lord painted bright, sunny formations in the sky while we were on our way to church.
Wednesday night the Lord sent us rain. After we went to bed, it began to rain hard. Soon the wind was blowing hard as well. I was up hunting rags to put in the windows. When there is lots of wind, the rain tends to come in the windows of this trailer. I was digging through the rag basket looking for the towel rag to put in the big window. When I stood up and turned around I gasped. There was a human form right behind me. Christy had sneaked up on me, and her bare feet had not made a sound on the floor. I told her she should be glad she didn't get bopped. :-)
A new project is in the works. It has been fun to learn how to make crocheted cell phone cases. Started out with a brown one and used a metallic rose button for the fastener.
Enjoyed some good preaching and fellowship at Ambassador Baptist College last night. The ensemble concert was very nice too. Thank You, God for these special blessings.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Psalm 68:19
