"The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook." (Psalm 77:18)
This morning was quite busy. I threw some chicken and potatoes into the crock pot. Then I made some bread. Christy did laundry and ground barley flour for me. Also, I made a wheat-free, gluten-free cake. My friend, Sarah, told me about these cake mixes. Ingles carries them. If you have food allergies, you could try one of these. The Betty Crocker brand has several of them and has two that can be used by those who are sensitive to corn as well. The “devil’s food cake” and the “chocolate chip cookie” mixes do not have xantham gum or corn starch. The other flavors do. Also did a loaf of barley bread in the bread maker but will probably just do it in a pan next time. It was nice to have the bread maker mix it for me though. Also cooked broccoli to go with the potatoes and chicken.
Well, that is about all I can think of for now. We have had fun this week. How about you?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
