Please be in prayer for our friend, Allison Workman. Allison struggles with Ehlers-Danlos-Syndrome Type 3 and other undiagnosed symptoms. Recently one of her Achilles tendons became very tight, so tight that the doctor and therapist have not been able to do anything to straighten it. She is supposed to be getting new braces, which she hoped would help with that, but the situation seems to be more serious than what can be helped through the benefit of those braces. If she doesn't get help with her Achilles tendon soon, the condition will become permanent, and she will lose her ability to walk all together.
On Monday, Allison has an appointment with a Surgeon in Virginia to determine whether or not she will definitely need surgery. Please pray, as Allison, though she has a confidence in the Lord, is also afraid and upset. She says, "I know the Lord knows how everything is going to turn out. He is in control and I'm trying to focus on that while everything that has happened in the last 48 hours is spinning through my head. He can take care of everything for me and even though I'm leaving some of the most precious people behind plus my oh-so-loved puppy, He will be there for me. I know Audrey "bendy" will be there for me, too. Although, it doesn't take the fear/sadness/disappointment/frustration away, it helps! I'm so thankful I know where I'm going when I die and don't have to fear the day of death!!! I know y'all might be thinking "come on, it's only ankle surgery!", but with my situation it is possible! I'm just so thankful that I don't have that fear on top of this whole mess in my mind!" To read more and learn how you can pray more specifically, you can drop by her CaringBridge site. While you are there, why not write her a note of encouragement and let her know you are praying for her.
Jeremiah 33:27 says, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"
