A Busy Week
This is Christy again. I had a busy week this week, Wednesday I had three caterings at work. Thursday, I started coming down with a cold and the sinus thing that everyone has been having. Friday evening, we went shopping at a local store that is going out of business. We got several things on sale as well as a shelf that they were selling. Saturday we went out shopping and I got a fleece blanket wrapped with a stuffed frog (see picture) that was on sale. After we came home, I took a nap and rested the rest of the day. Today (Sunday) I didn't work in the nursery. But we had good meetings at church. One of the evangelists from our church taught Sunday School and preached the morning service. Our youth pastor will preach tonight. This morning we had some sleet mixed with a few snow flurries and a little rain.
Greetings from Connie.
Lots of excitement this week. Psalm 18:32 says, "It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect."
One of the special events of the week took place on Thursday. That was the day that I babysat my friend's five children. I was really scared about it but ended up enjoying the time. Thank the Lord that Christy got off work by 4:30 and was able to help me out a bit.
The chidren ranged in age from two to ten. First we had a snack. Then we had glued together some "puzzle" pieces to make a poster of an eye. Everyone got to be involved. Then I handed out kaleidoscopes. The children took the decorative paper off and wanted to make their own designs on paper and glue them on. Then they did other crafts.
John John, the four year old wanted to play a game, so we got out the farm animals game so he could play with it. He enjoyed hearing the animals make their baby and grown up animal sounds. Ari, the two year old, also enjoyed this game. Then John John found the microphone in the office and wanted to play with it. He had fun pretending to be a preacher.
How was your week? I hope you had some enjoyable highlights in it.
