Fun in May
May has been an eventful month and in most respects a happy month. At the beginning of the month, Dad and Mom were in a place where they had access to the iternet. This was exciting as we were able to "talk" to them via email. They have been doing Ok, but Dad has lost a lot of weight from intestinal tract troubles.
There are lots of flowers blooming as well. What a beautiful month, and the air smells so sweet and fresh. It is wonderful to have the windows open and get fresh air in the house. Spring is my favorite season. We also than the Lord for the rain He has been sending, and the 2 rainbows He sent recently. God sent these wonderful things to uplift our spirits and remind us that He is still there and He still watches over us with tender loving care. Here is a picture of one of Christy's beautiful roses.
On Monday of this week my neighbor Emily came up with her kids, and we all had fun doing crafts. Only the baby didn't do crafts, she only slept. :-) We made mini Frisbees out of CDs. Then we made "telephones" out of plastic cups and flowers. The plant was drawn on a piece of paper, and we used a muffin cup for the petals and used a cotton ball for the center of the flower.
On Tuesday I hung clothes in the evening even though it was raining because it was supposed to sunny on Wednesday morning. However, it rained instead. By Thursday morning, the clothes were rather soggy. But we were very grateful for the rain as it has been so dry here. Thursday morning the sun shone again. I was so excited to see the sun again, and God sent this verse to my mind, "Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun." (Ecclesiastes 11:7)
Today the Lord sent a thunderstorm. First we heard the tornad siren, and then we saw the dark clouds in the western sky. This storm went northwest of us, but the clouds put on a fantastic display of God's glory. Truly, "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world." (Psalm 19:1-4a)
Thank you for vising the blog today. May it be an encouragement to you.
