Today is a rainy day, and we have been doing house work. Christy rearranged the living room so that it would be easier to get to the window. Then we can open both living room windows and get a cross breeze.
I spent a good part of the day cleaning out and rearranging my bedroom closet. We hadn't done that for a while and there was a lot of organizing to be done. Also a lot of mouse mess to clean up. :-)
It has been fun to work on a garden this year. Right now we have peas, beets, amaranth, spinach, basil, savory, and one watermelon plant coming up. The spinach is only about an inch tall, but the bugs are interested in it already. It does look better since the rain though. We are praying that things grow well. We have also been fixing up the walkway which is kind of overgrown with an ornamental grass that people in this area call monkey grass. One side is fixed up now I think. The other side still has a lot of work to be done. Then the flower garden needs weeding. That is OK though because it gives us something to do each day for exercise. We got almost an inch of rain today so the birdie bath should be full. The sun did peek out a little today, and the clouds out front were yellowish. The baby robins love our raised bed garden spot. They sit in there while the mommy finds food and takes care of them. Now they are getting big enough to find their own food.
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy. Psalm 59:16,17
