The LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. Nahum 1:3b
9He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. 10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. 11He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. 12At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. 13The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. 14Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them. Psalm 18:9-14
This sounds a little like what has been going on around these parts. God has certainly been showing His power through the thunder, lightning, wind, and whirlwind. During the past 7 days, we have had two of the worst storms this area has experienced in a long time, I think. Trees have come down; sheds and carports have been blown around; a trailer was picked up and turned upside down. One trailer was wrapped around a fallen tree. The man in it survived and was rescued. Thank God for that protection. And thank God for His protection for us in that storm as well.
Please do pray though as another series of storms is predicted for tomorrow evening.
Below are some pictures. I took a video too, but it is too big to upload. It was fascinating to watch the clouds swirling around and to watch a white cloud in the distance building higher and higher. I have put the pictures in a photo gallery. Just click on one to see it bigger and use the “Next” or “Previous” buttons to view the others. Hold your mouse over the photo or click on it to read its caption. Enjoy!
