What a blessing to be able to see our relatives and spend time with them and read God's word and pray together. Also a blessing not to have to think of schedules or deadlines or "what has to be done today."
One health food store we shopped at had snacks I could eat, and they only cost 99 cents. Christy also got a box of cereal for 99 cents. Then we went to Trader Joes where we stocked up on a month's supply of snack food items and chocolate bars and rice noodles and ginger candy. The ginger candy they have there is delicious, and it really seems to help the sinuses.
Some of the games we played were Blurt! Quick Wit. and Boggle. Quick Wit was a logic game. I don't do good at all with logic, and my team lost. But we had fun anyway. We also played Bible Outburst. It reminded me a little of password. That is a really fun game that tests one's knowledge of the Bible. One has to think of lots of things in the Bible in a short time.
The Lord also supplied an abundance of things to work with to make things to send to Dad and Mom. Thank the Lord so much for those things. And for the blessed time of relaxation and refreshment.
I took pictures, but there are so many that I have put them in a photo gallery below. Just click on a picture to see it larger. The caption should appear at the bottom. You can use the "Next" or "Previous" button to view other pictures in the series.
