What’s in a day’s work for me? Stay tuned to find out.
First I got up at 7:00 and had my quiet time with the Lord. Then it was time to get ready for the day. Next I got out projects that I might like to work on later in the day. Today’s project was mending. Then it was time for a smoothie.
While I consumed my very thick smoothie, I got onto Swagbucks and earned my 2 cents (bucks). Also dropped by and “visited” with some friends via Arthritis Connect and other places. Next it was time to print out a shopping list and do all the other things that needed to be done before Christy left for work.
Since it was a rainy day, housework won out over garden work. We’ve been trying to do some extra cleaning, so I went to work on the plastic flowers we have here and there for decoration. Dusting didn’t help them, nor a damp rag. The only other thing I could think of to do was wash them in a bucket of water.
Well, the bucket was dirty as I had carried mulch in it last week. Since our other bucket broke this is the only bucket we have, and it gets put to many uses. So, I cleaned out the bucket with soapy water and a wet rag and then filled it with hot, soapy water. The containers of flowers came down off the piano and the food shelf and were brought over to the table. Out of the containers they came and into the bucket. Slish, slosh! Oh, they look so much better! The potpourri in the little white basket was who knows how old, so it was time for that to go. It actually still had some smell to it. That’s fine. Now the trash smells a little better. :-) I put in some new potpourri (sugar plum scented) and put the roses back in the basket.
The little white flower pot with the tiny duckies was dirty too. I washed the plastic flowers from that pot and cleaned up the other flowers the best I could with a damp rag. They are dried flowers but real ones, so they couldn’t be put in the water like the others.
After this it was time to sit down and write some emails and some articles. Back to the kitchen when that was done. This time I made yogurt and cooked broccoli, delicious zucchini, and noodles. The noodles were flavored with chicken broth, and then I added zucchini and tomato sauce to them. Mmmmmm! Yummy supper.
Now it is time to sit and relax.
