Missions Conference is coming up at our church, starting September 30th and we are getting excited about it. The theme is "Through His Eyes." I made this little "art on glass" picture frame to use on our display table. I used permanent markers to draw the words and color the background.
This morning was a very lovely one. Fog hung in the air and made a pretty filter for the morning sunrise. I didn't see the sun, just the sunlight in the little space of sky between the horizon and the clouds. Later the fog lifted, the clouds parted, and the sun came out. Yesterday's raindrops and morning dew lay heavily upon the grass and leaves. The lighting was nice for morning glory pictures, and it was a perfect morning for spider webs. I couldn't resist going out to get a few pictures.
This afternoon a thunderstorm went by, mostly to the north of us. We did get a good rain though. We have really needed rain, so we are thankful. Below are a few pictures from the storm and a couple of videos.
The clouds pictured above look dark and foreboding, but these were actually to the south of us where there was very little storm activity. They were kind of neat though.
These clouds don't look as scary but were accompanied by wind, lightning, and thunder.
The above video shows how fast some of the clouds were moving. At one point, you may notice birds flying around. They seemed to be scared of the storm. It wasn't that bad above us though, mostly to the north of us.
This video shows some movement in those interesting clouds.
Well, that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed the pictures and videos.
Sour Sammy could not be good, no matter how he tried. One day his father had to discipline him for doing wrong, He asked his father why he could not be good, so his father got down the Bible and showed Sour Sammy how only Jesus could make him good.
"Soon it was known all over town
That Sour Sam had lost his frown --
Jesus had turned it upside down."
