On Sunday morning God sent us a beautiful sunrise. Here are three pictures of it. Thank You, Father.

The past few weeks have been busy but have had some fun things mixed in them. The Lord has blessed me (Connie) with a little extra energy. God is the one "Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Psalm 103:5) Thank You, God, for your strength and help.
It has been fun to use some of the craft stuff we have around the house to do a few projects. I fixed up last year's slippers so that they will work for this year as well. The bottoms had gotten quite worn out. Christy wanted a pillow to put on her couch in the winter. Wal-Mart had some very pretty material on sale so this was used for the cover. An old blanket that was falling apart made good stuffing. One of the potatoes in the last bag of potatoes we bought was really interesting. It looked like it had a nose on it. Below are some pictures of the projects and potato. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by. Finally! It has been a while since we wrote. We have been very busy. There has been a lot going on lately. We had a good July 4th. We went to the parade in Lattimore in the morning. Then in the evening, we went to the fireworks in Kings Mountain. They also had a bagpipe band that played some songs. There was also a small revolutionary war enactment. On July 25th, we had some special friends over for supper. We had a good time of food and fellowship. One of the men is our church evangelist. He is on the road most of the time, but it is always special when he comes here. His wife has been sick and was not with him at the time. Please pray for her. The other couple are the people that he stays with when he comes down here. They are his adopted parents. |
Sour Sammy
Sour Sammy could not be good, no matter how he tried. One day his father had to discipline him for doing wrong, He asked his father why he could not be good, so his father got down the Bible and showed Sour Sammy how only Jesus could make him good. "Soon it was known all over town That Sour Sam had lost his frown -- Jesus had turned it upside down." Mom's e-book for children can be purchased by clicking on the "Buy Now" button below.
