The past week or so has been quite something. It seems like if anything could happen it did. That included both exciting things and not so exciting things.
Last Sunday Christy decided that she would take my place as Calamity Jane for a while. As she was going down to take the trash to the garbage can, she twisted her ankle on the stepping stone and bricks. At first she could only a hobble a bit, but she seems to be healing quickly. By this Sunday she could drive to church. When our song leader saw her Wednesday night, he greeted her with, "Hello, Step and a Half." :-)
A couple of days after that our uncle came and installed an overhead fan for us. He also put in a doorknob in our bathroom door and fixed the underpinning on our trailer that had gotten messed up when the storms came through.
We have enjoyed watching life blossom with the spring. Here are a few spring pictures.
We have also enjoyed working on some fun projects. Christy has been doing a lot of cross stitch. I have been learning how to recycle clothes into little girls' dresses. First I turned a couple of little pant suits into dresses. Then I learned how to make a t-shir into a little dress.
Lord willing, we will be leaving Monday morning to go on a three day vacation to Georgia. Please be in prayer about this. Pray that Christy will not have any trouble driving that far. Pray for safety. And pray for rest. We really need rest and a break. Thank God that He is good and that He is always with us.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3,4
