After arriving in Charlotte, we went first to WalMart and got a few items. Then to the chiropractor for my appointment. After that, we went to Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s was very busy.
Things in Charlotte looked so nice. The last time we were there was just after some heavy rains. The little river (or creek maybe) in the swamp had over-flowed its banks and spilled out into the swamp. The greenway wasn’t any better. People couldn’t walk or ride bikes on the greenway because the river there had also overflowed its banks and was running right over the lower part of the trail. This time, the river near the swamp looked much better. The greenway was dry, and there were lots of men, women, and children out biking. The greenway runs right next to Trader Joe’s, and Trader Joe’s was packed. Around the city, Redbuds and Bradford pear trees were blooming.
On our way back from Charlotte, we stopped at Aldi in Gastonia. As we came into the city, I had to laugh at the placement of a couple of businesses. Sweet Frog frozen yogurt place was next door to Friendly Dental in the same building.
While we were driving through Gastonia, someone in a white BMW came zooming across from the lane to the left of us, cut in front of us, and stopped before turning right. Dad slammed on the brakes. We came to an almost abrupt stop in seconds, missing the car in front of us by inches. Thank God we did not rear-end the BMW, and they did not hit the person in the other lane coming out of the other street. The bad thing was that my seat belt didn’t catch like it was supposed to, so I went sliding forward. When Dad let up on the brakes, I was jerked backward. Well, there went part of Dr. Schulman’s adjustment. My back was sore after that and also the next day.
When we got home, Christy was out shopping. Later she sent a text saying she was at Urgent Care and had strep throat. She would be home after she stopped at Walgreens. She did not get to go to the Revival meetings at our church either Monday night or Tuesday night. This morning, she did get to go to work, so hopefully the day is going well for her and she will feel up to going to the meeting tonight.
So, that was our day out on Monday. Thank God for a good day and for His watch care and protection throughout the day.
Thanks for dropping by and reading. Have a blessed day!
