We didn’t do much Saturday. Just rested. Went to our neighbor’s garage sale. They were having moving sale as they are getting ready to go to Siberia as missionaries. The Lord blessed their yard sale and helped them to sell a lot of things. It was forecasted to rain both Friday and Saturday, but the Lord held off the rain for their yard sale. Thank You, God.
Saturday night a bad thunderstorm came through. We learned Sunday morning that the same system had done a lot of damage and killed some people in Mississippi.
Yesterday afternoon we went with our neighbor to the wedding shower for one of the sweet young ladies at our church. It was a really nice shower, and she got a lot of nice gifts. You can see a few pictures from the wedding shower below.
We rode back home with our neighbor and her four youngest children. We all had fun being silly on the way home.
The silliness and the van came to an abrupt halt for a mother deer and her two fawns as they crossed the road. I can understand why they say having a lap belt without a shoulder belt is not a good idea. Oooh that hurt as it pulled tight across the abdomen with the quick stop. I also learned why it is a good idea to wear a seat belt. You never know when you might stop suddenly. The pile of stuff on the seat beside me was soon on the floor. I had to dig in it for my water bottle. ☺
But, thank the Lord, everyone was fine. It wasn’t long before we had nearly forgotten about it.
Today was a beautiful day. We did a lot of things outside. Trying to get the front done so that we can get rid of the monkey grass which has pretty much taken over and prepare the ground to plant more bulb flowers and other pretty things. Thank God for the strength.
Also, thank God for the encouraging phone call from a friend. She even prayed with me over the phone. God is good.
“Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is : which keepeth truth for ever.” Psalm 146:5,6
Below is a picture of an April sunrise. Have a cheery week everyone!
