It has been a looooong time since we updated. Thanks for your patience.
July and August were certainly months of adventure. On July 18, I fell and hurt my ankle in a ditch in our front yard. Because of a wrist injury I can't use crutches, so I was in a wheel chair for about a week and a half. Then my sister bought me a cane so that I could get around a bit better. It was a pretty pink cane with roses. Do you like it?
Christy had a busy day too. She worked on a poster for the bulletin board at church. Also, she cooked upside down peach cake for a couple expecting a new baby as the lady was on bed rest at the time. Also, she did the laundry and picked up an old pile of weeds and then weeded the ditch I tripped in so that the boy who mows our lawn could see it when he mowed. She also cleaned her bathroom and got a little more of the old wallpaper off. Eventually she would like to put new wallpaper on or paint or redecorate her bathroom.
The tomatoes are growing well and are about hand size now. One of them is finally starting to get a little pink on it. I was wondering if I would have to pick green tomatoes. Will have to watch them so the mocking birds don't eat them. :-) Below is a picture of these tomatoes.
and reading the post for August 8.
I made this picture to illustrate this. I took a photo of a nickel and then did some fancy work in Publisher to make this picture.
