We ran out of bananas (except for a few frozen ones), so I decided to take a break from my usual morning smoothie and enjoy some carrot/orange eggnog. Ingredients: 1/2 cup carrot juice 1/2 cup orange juice 1/2 cup soy milk 1 scoop protein powder (optional) 2 tsp. maple syrup 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract cinnamon and nutmeg to taste 2 eggs (raw) Blend all together. Drink and enjoy! Yum, yum, yum! The egg whites make heaps of foamy lather on top. Mmmmm! (Note: There is always a danger of salmonella contamination when using raw eggs. Use at your own risk! When using raw eggs, try to get cage free, free range, or organic eggs. They are less likely to have salmonella. Salmonella is usually on the shell, so, before opening an egg to use raw, I check it for cracks, wash it well in soap and warm water, and then rinse.) |

Sour Sammy
Sour Sammy could not be good, no matter how he tried. One day his father had to discipline him for doing wrong, He asked his father why he could not be good, so his father got down the Bible and showed Sour Sammy how only Jesus could make him good. "Soon it was known all over town That Sour Sam had lost his frown -- Jesus had turned it upside down." Mom's e-book for children can be purchased by clicking on the "Buy Now" button below.
