Life has been about as busy as busy can be the past couple of weeks. We are looking forward to a little bit more "normal" week next week, Lord willing.
On Tuesday the Lord gave me a very helpful visit to the chiropractor.
Our neighbor's son came by and mowed the lawn. It was quite high. He started late but did not want to give up for the night. First he had us turn on the porch lights. Then he finished mowing by flashlight. The yard certainly does look much better.
We also went to Kings Mountain where Christy applied for a job. Stopped at Wal Mart on the way back to get a present for our new little cousin, also some frozen cherries and 2 toothbrushes.
And we went to Hallelujah Acres where we got sesame seeds. That is the cheapest place to get them - about $3.18 a pound. Saw a friend there and had a nice chat with her. She is heading out to Brazil soon.
They had samples of carrot juice that had been made from a powder mix. It also had grapefruit and ginger in it, with no additives. I had a taste and it was good, tasted almost the same as the fresh carrot juice we make at home.
Made noodles with beef and seaweed for supper. Don't worry. Really it is delicious. Christy made veggie juice, so we got plenty of veggies that day.
After supper and a little rest there was time to spend about 20 minutes weeding the garden.
Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed a nice walk and beautiful weather. It was great to have a chance to see some neighbors and chat with them. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Must have been the weather. Here are a couple of photos I took before we started out on the walk.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11
