and thy paths drop fatness. Psalm 65:11
Hello to everyone! Christy put a HAPPY NEW YEAR message on for you. Now we'll fill you in on a little bit of what has been going on in our lives.
Christy found a household tip for unclogging drains. Just heat 1 cup full of white vinegar and pour down drain. My bathroom drain was stopped up, so we tried it. We heated the white vinegar to boiling. I let it come to a good boil, turned it off, and then took it immediately to the bathroom and dumped it down the sink. The sink drain is unclogged this morning. Thank the Lord! That was simple enough.
We have put up new calendars and a new hand towel in the kitchen. I got a nice winter hand towel from my secret sister. And the next sewing project is to make Christy a couple more winter hand towels. I also made her some winter curtains for her kitchen. I used the fleece blanket from Walgreens. It was just the right length and width, so I just cut it in half down the middle. It doesn’t fray, so I just put decorative yarn stitches in variegated blue yarn down the cut edges so they would match the other edges. We got a nice moon and stars valance at Mighty Dollar. I cut that in three pieces - one piece to go on top of each half of the curtain and the other piece to go on the kitchen window. Now the kitchen and dining room both have something pretty in their windows. It was fun to make them.
Christy has started working on another puzzle - a puzzle of the Great Wall of China. She has enjoyed doing several puzzles while she has not been working. Not much has opened up yet, so she may have to apply at Chik-Fil-A for now.
We have both been having headaches. After a while, we have both come to the conclusion that these headaches are not going away until we get new glasses. ☺
At Walgreens the other day we saw a camera. This might be a neat camera for Christy and me to get. It is a keychain, digital camera and costs $10.00. Though it is very tiny, it will take photos and videos. This might be a nice travel camera. Wonder what kind of batteries it uses. Lord willing, I will be taking a trip later this year to visit Mom and Dad on the mission field. Maybe I'll take something like that with me.
Christy helped me grind flour this afternoon. She did some other things too, but I'll let her tell you about that. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a good Sunday.
