"O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth." (Psalm 96:1-9)
Yesterday was the first day of summer. And it was true to its name - extremely hot, humid, and muggy. Around 4:00, it was still 96 degrees in the shade. The air was so oppressive that it felt like someone was holding a damp cloth over my face when i stepped outside. Seemed like someone had sucked the oxygen out of the air. Must have been a very low pressure system.
The Lord blessed in allowing us to get a lot done yesterday. The shed got emptied quite a bit. A lot of organizing got done in my bedroom. It's much easier to get around in there now. Cooking got done as well.
Some bad storms came through in the afternoon and at night. However, they went around us, and the really bad ones missed Lattimore. We were very grateful. Praise the Lord!
While a couple of these storms were going around, I was able to get some photos of the incredible cloud formations. What a way to start off the summer. Many of the clouds I could not get in the photos. The sky was absolutely beautiful all afternoon and evening!
Below are some photos of the storm and of the other beauty God sent us on the first day of summer. Hope you enjoy!
