It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus,
Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of his dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.
By Esther Kerr Rusthoi
These are the words to the chorus of a song which our friend Allison quoted in her most recent post on her Caring Bridge site. Allison has gone through many trials and sorrows in her life, and she is looking forward to the day when she sees Christ and looks upon her Savior’s face. After four years of illness, struggle, disappointments, dr. visits, specialist visits, tests, and so forth, the Lord has allowed Allison to receive a diagnosis of her condition.
Allison says, “I have Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome, Type 3 (Hypermobility Type). I’m excited and want to jump up to the sky, yet there is the feeling that comes and goes of, ‘this is permanent… there is no cure!’ I really appreciate your continued prayers… I’ve got this ‘til either they find a cure or I go home to be with Jesus in Heaven.”
Allison has determined to allow God to use this illness to bring glory to Himself. Though she is often in a great deal of pain, she maintains a cheerful outlook and is always doing something to be an encouragement to others. Please pray for Allison, and be sure to visit her site and let her know you are thinking about her.
