I was slipping on my house coat as I headed for the bathroom when WHAP! My elbow ran right into the thermostat. I looked, but it was still set on 65 degrees. However, it had just turned on and now almost immediately turned off. I took the cover off and played around wth it a bit. It was very dusty inside. For several hours the heat kept shutting off at about 4 degrees cooler than what it was set on. Finally it decided to work right again.
Had a good time at church on Wednesday night, December first. Pastor Surrett showed a video of the Hallelujah Chorus!, that he had found on someone's blog, before he preached. Then he got caught up in his preaching and did not realize what time it was. All of a sudden he said, "Time's Up." He had us stand and closed in prayer. He must have been enjoying the meeting too. It was a fascinating message, and I had not realized that time was passing so quickly.
On Thursday morning my devotions were in Luke 1:1-55.
Verses 46 - 53 contain Mary's song of praise to God after she found out she was to be the mother of Jesus and after she went to visit her cousin Elisabeth who was expecting John the Baptist at that time. Below is this song of praise and some things that it teaches about God.
46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

Well that is about it for Dec. 2nd. Thank God for a good day.
