December 3rd dawned cool but beautiful. It was 23 degrees, but the sunrise helped to make up for the chilliness. Note: the above picture is not the sunrise from December 3rd. Actually I think it is a sunset. :-)
I opened the door on the eve of December 2nd only to be shocked by the very strong smell of a skunk. Christy said I must have scared it when I opened the door. When I looked out later the smell was almost overwhelming. When the heat came on, we could smell it in the house, especially in my bedroom. But the smell did go away after a couple of hours.
On Wednesday night I heard a cat under the house. Sounded like it had caught amouse. Well there was no cat on the night of December 2nd. There was only a country kitty! The next morning I heard a mouse scurry across the bedroom floor.
Skunky chased the cat away,
Now the mouse has come to play.
I had been getting some respiratory problems. It appears to be the central heat. I did fix up my vent deflector so the heat blows under the bed and out the other way instead of in my face at night. Later the Lord enabled us to get an allergy filter from Big Lots for $5.00. Thank you, God. That has helped a lot.
But before it was able to help I ended up getting quite ill. First I got a cold. Then I had an allergic reaction to a new supplement I tried Also, we had gotten a different brand of cheese as the price of cheese at Wal Mart had gone up so much. I did not look to make sure the shredded cheese had potato starch in it and not corn starch. I put it in my noodle casserole but ended up getting sick from that as well. So I was rather miserable for a while. Still have some of this business hanging on.
Got some cookies baked and some rich potato soup made. It certainly was delicious! Thank You, Lord.
Another blessing of this day was that our new supplements came (including the one I was allergic to). Some of them have been a real help to me, though I am still struggling with quite of bit of pain - pinched nerves, occasional migraines, arthritis, etc. But these new supplements are helping with some of the fatigue and energy issues. Thank You, God.
Well, better get this posted and put those left-over hamburgers away.
